Indiana, Wiseman, and another backup big man are out for the season

Indiana has lost two big men to Achilles tendon injuries since the beginning of the season.

"ESPN" reporter Shams Karania reported the sad news that Indiana Pacers' Isaiah Jackson was out for the season with a ruptured right Achilles tendon on the 3rd (Korea Standard Time).

Jackson felt pain in his heel without contact while jumping to compete for his opponent's shot against New Orleans on the 2nd, and a close examination revealed that he was diagnosed with a ruptured Achilles tendon to end the season. 스포츠토토

Jackson, who entered the professional stage as the 22nd overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draft, averaged around 15 minutes of playing time over four seasons, a resource responsible for a spot in the Indiana bench rotation. At 206 cm, he is not tall for a big man, but he has excellent rim protection, averaging more than 1.0 block shots even in a small amount of playing time.

Indiana already had James Wiseman out of the season opener due to an Achilles injury. To make matters worse, Jackson suffered the same injury as Wiseman, and lost two big men to injury just two weeks after the opening.

Due to Wiseman and Jackson's injuries, Indiana has only Obi Toppin left to take rest for its key big men Pascal Siakam and Miles Turner. In addition, Indiana is in a bad situation early in the season due to sluggishness of its main ball handler Tyreece Halliburton.
